This is not financial advice

Nothing in Chillar's is financial, investment, tax or legal advice. That covers the app, the guides and the blog. What you get is a record of figures you entered, plus general educational writing.

Budgeting rules such as 50/30/20 are heuristics with known limitations, described on their own pages. They are starting points for your own reasoning, not recommendations for your situation.

Verify against your own statements

Chillar's computes from what you enter. If a transaction was not entered, it is not in the total. Reconcile against your bank statement regularly rather than treating the app's balance as authoritative.

Exchange rates are indicative

Published rates are mid-market and refreshed daily. They are not the rate your bank or remittance provider will give you. Set a rate override where the difference matters, and never treat a converted figure as a quote.

No guarantee of accuracy or availability

The software is provided as-is. Bugs are possible, and the arithmetic carries no warranty, even though we check it against fixture datasets with known answers. Consult a qualified professional before making decisions with financial consequences.
